Project 1.1 was a group assignment where we had to investigate the character of a place and architecture to evaluate and identify opportunities for producing responsive architecture design with urban context. 2 sites of Jalan Petaling and Kampung Attap were allocated to the students as my group were given site B of Kampung Attap. A Townscape appraisal documentation was a task given to complete along with a site analysis on the macro and micro scale of the place. This was essential as this would be the allocated site for our upcoming project 2.1 and 2.2. Project 1.2 was a separate assignment on an urban intervention where we had to propose actions and strategies to improve, transform or engage public spaces within a city. This would take place within the same site in between Jalan Petaling & Jalan Kampung Attap areas at Merdeka 118 Precinct. The final outcome was 6 - 8 A1 boards, a site model of 1:200 scale and a short video of the proposed urban intervention.
